It has just leaked that the much anticipated Google Pixel 5 will only come in one version, the XL version. This may not augur well with some users.
The phone will only come in an ‘XL’ configuration instead of the usual two versions, as all the predecessors have done since the beginning.
According to the sources, it is said that Pixel 5 will only come with one size option, it will have a 765 G snapdragon chip and is expected to cost roughly $699
Although the leak is from a reliable source, we will save something for the “benefit of doubt” as we wait for the much-anticipated release of the phone. Most of the leakers on twitter don’t have full facts and figures about this phone, but it is well worth it to take note of the emerging leaks about the phone.
For Pixel 4a, however, Google only has one size option, which is an ordinary 5.81-inch rather than a 6-inch.
This clearly indicates that Google will have to increase the number of choices available for pixel phones, likely in response to the economic stress brought about by the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has greatly affected the technology supply chain all over the world.
Word has it that Google Pixel 5 will have the mid-range Snapdragon 765 G chipset – similar to the one that OnePlus Nord has. But only bigger.
Essentially, this will be a more expensive variety than the Pixel 4a but with fewer extraneous features.
Away from the chipset, the Google Pixel 5 is expected to have a refresh rate of 120Hz, a 5G connection and design that will upgrade the existing Pixel design.
A trio of rear camera is also expected, this has now become industry standar for cameras lately coupled with the photography capabilities of Google intelligent software.
If only Google could build on the incredible camera of its Pixel 4 and correct the small issues like low battery life, small internal storage, and narrow-angle camera, then it will be the top phone.
Google Pixel 5 will be released around October, until then, we will keep checking for reliable leaks of Pixel 5.
