Google, the internet giant is down!
For how long? No one knows! Last week it was Amazon’s AWS services, this week its Google’s turn. All Google services are currently offline….
Is this monkey business?
Yes….and Google has a monkey to show for it!
YouTube, the mammoth video sharing site, and Google’s number one video site is down today. And what do they have to show for it?
…..A Monkey! Yes, a monkey holding a hammer. Maybe it’s trying to fix it!
Why YouTube went down today.
YouTube went down today because all Google services have gone down today. Millions of viewers and YouTube content creators today have been treated to a huge shock and purple monkey, Yellowface, red cap, and a hammer!
So, why is YouTube Down?
Google was also down in August when YouTube was also affected. All Google Apps and services were hit including Google Suite and Gmail, endured a similar loss in November (last month).
The tech giant maintains a page of statues for its online services such as Gmail but does not monitor or report outages on YouTube.
Google has impacted people around the globe, from America to the UK, Africa to Asia according to the Down detector website.
September 25th was the beginning of the series of Google crashes, indexing stopped, Panda and Penguin duo went to the garage for fixing, or is it updates? Something is really wrong with Google lately, but their ego doesn’t seem to allow them to come clean with what is going on behind the curtains.
Well, everything on the internet fails for some reason, and they fail every so often. But when the mother of all search engines fails, it is sure is a big deal.
YouTube is down Reports
Of those who reported the problems with YouTube, 63% said they could not access the Website, while 34% could not see videos, and a further 3% were unable to log in completely.
Several people went to Twitter to ask what was happening. #YouTubeDOWN is currently the trending topic on Twitter.
Here is what YouTube had to say on its official Twitter handle.
We are aware that many of you are having issues accessing YouTube right now – our team is aware and looking into it. We'll update you here as soon as we have more news.

Something huge is happening with the Silicon Valley Tech Giant.
At the time of posting this, Google is down! So, if you are trying to access anything online and seeing some purple monkey, don’t doubt or check your Wi-Fi.
No, your Wi-Fi and laptop don’t need fixing, it is Google that requires to be fixed. Google is the problem today.
Google search seems to be fine. But all the other Google services are offline at the moment, Maps, News, Play, YouTube, Google Assistant, Google AdSense, and even Google Keep are unable to connect to the serves.
